| Why doesn't EverDream Web have pre-set prices for websites? |
Answer: Every website EverDream Web creates is unique. Some websites are 100+ pages with Ecommerce functionality and some are five pages that only have some text copy and a few photos. Because of this, each website must be bid out based upon various factors such as number of pages, type of copy needed, applications needed, etc. For some reference here are common price ranges for commons sites we build:
- A 10-15 page with data based contact form, email capture for Constant Contact (or similar service), 10 - 25 images, graphic design and basic SEO set up... these websites average a price between 1500 to 3000 USD.
- A "mid-ranged" site would consist of all of the above plus Flash elements or navigation, embedded audio or video, an additional 25 to 50 pages and an entry level SEO plan (ongoing monthly charge of 400+ USD)... these websites average a price between 3000 to 4500 USD.
- An upper end site consist of all of the above and a full SEO plan (from 700 to 1250 USD) e-commerce with cart and hosting package and full admin panel and other possible variable features... these websites range from 4500 to 12500 USD with exception to sites containing more than 150 content pages. These sites are bid on a case by case basis.
| Does EverDream Web offer discounts for non-profit organizations? |
Answer: Yes! EverDream Web offers a 15% discount to non-profit organizations for website work. We recognize the importance of non-profit organizations and want to make it possible for them to have the website they deserve at a price they can afford. If you are a non-profit organization and need a price quote, please fill out our Quote Request Form and be sure to mention your non-profit status in the "Additional Information..." field provided there.
| Who writes the copy/text for each of the pages on the website? |
Answer: The client is responsible for writing the copy/text for their website. However, EverDream Web will place your supplied copy on the website for you. We ask that the client supply the copy in Word format and any photos they want to display in .jpg format..
| How does payment work when I sign up for a website? |
Answer: Once you sign up for a website, a 50% down payment is required along with the signed proposal. The remaining 50% is due just before the website goes live or within 60 days of when website work begins (whichever comes first). EverDream Web accepts Electronic transfers, in state checks (Colorado) and Major Credit Cards.
| How long does it take for my website project to be finished? |
Answer: It varies from project to project. Some projects are finished within two to three weeks. Other projects take four or five months. Factors include the size/complexity of the website, speed of client communication and speed of delivered goods (copy, photos, etc.), inventory to stock ecommerce sites with, etc. On average, most websites are completed between three to eight weeks.
| Can EverDream Web maintain my site if I ever need edits? At what rate? |
Answer: Yes, EverDream Web is committed to working with clients even after the website is made live. We understand that updates are inevitable for your website and we make it a priority to help you keep your website fresh and updated. EverDream Web charges $65/hour for website maintenance (50/hour for non-profits). Maintenance contracts are also available for clients that needed monthly updates. The maintenance plans offer a discount on the hourly rate, and they start at 130/month for up to three hours of website maintenance (three hours for the price of two). If your website will need monthly updates, a maintenance contract would be a better option for you. If your website updates are spread out, the bill-by-the-hour option would be a wiser choice.
| Can EverDream Web host my website? How much does it cost? |
Answer: Yes, EverDream Web offers several web hosting plans. Business hosting plans start at $10.00/month and high end high volume ecommerce website hosting plans start at $200.00/month. This price includes complete support and administration of your website (including databases, email setup, phone support and website statistics and much more). It does not include the building of the store software. It is a good idea to let your web firm host your website. When your web design firm and web host are the same entity, website updates are much smoother and more cost-effective.
